WHAT MATTERS

Why you should ask a lawyer before the problem

Before signing

A contract is checked in advance

Once it is signed, the terms already work against you. Reviewing a contract before signature costs a fraction of a dispute over it.

Inspections

The answer has to be right

Requests from the tax office, the Labour Inspectorate or the police come with deadlines and rules. A hasty answer often creates more problems than the inspection itself.

Fines

Mistakes are expensive

Staff records, tax, licences, personal data: the fines for formal mistakes exceed the cost of a consultation many times over.

The information is stated in general terms. Precise answers come from looking at your situation and your documents.

CHECKLIST

Preparing for the consultation: 5 steps

01

Put your question into one or two sentences: what happened and what outcome you need.

02

Gather the documents: contracts, correspondence, orders, demands from state authorities. Better too many than too few.

03

Write a short timeline of events with dates. That saves consultation time otherwise spent establishing the details.

04

Write out the figures and the deadlines: amounts, payment dates, response deadlines. In legal questions those decide things.

05

Send the materials in advance: the lawyer prepares, and the consultation gets to the point instead of improvising.

CLEAR AND STEP BY STEP

How we work

01

Your request and the task

You describe the question by messenger or phone. We say straight away whether it is our field and what to prepare.

02

The lawyer prepares

We study the documents and the case law before we meet. You pay for answers, not for someone reading documents in front of you.

03

The consultation

Online or at the office. We work through the situation, the risks and the options: honestly, with no scare tactics and no upselling.

04

Summary and plan of action

After the conversation you have a clear plan: what to do yourself, and where you need support and at what budget.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions about consultations

Usually 30 to 60 minutes. You can book for the next working day, and urgent questions we take the same day. The online format works from any city and from abroad.

In substance there is no difference: we receive the documents in advance either way. Online is easier on time; the office suits you if there are a lot of paper documents or the question is easier to work through in person.

A short description of the situation, the documents (contracts, correspondence, demands from authorities) and your specific questions. If something is missing, that is fine, we will guide you during the conversation.

Yes. We work with sole traders, with companies, and with people who are only planning to register a business: we help choose the form, the tax group and a clean start.

You are left with a plan of action. From there you can act on your own or hand it to us: documents, negotiations, running a dispute. We name the budget for further work straight away.

Yes. Attorney-client privilege covers everything you tell us, whether or not you go on to instruct us. We sign an NDA if you need one.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Examples of consultations

✓ RISK REMOVED

A trap in the contract found before signing

Situation: the client was about to sign a supply contract with a new counterparty for a substantial sum.

Actions: we reviewed the contract, found hidden penalty clauses and unequal termination terms, and proposed amendments.

Result: the counterparty accepted the amendments. The client signed a balanced contract with no hidden risks.

✓ INSPECTION PASSED

Getting ready for a Labour Inspectorate visit

Situation: the company received notice of a scheduled inspection and did not know which documents had to be ready.

Actions: we audited the HR records, corrected the gaps and prepared the team for talking to the inspector.

Result: the inspection passed with no fines and no orders.

✓ CONFLICT RESOLVED

The partners agreed without going to court

Situation: the co-founders diverged on where to take the company and reached deadlock.

Actions: we set out each side corporate rights, proposed exit options and helped agree the terms.

Result: an agreement between the founders was signed. The business carried on without a court fight.

Cases are anonymised. Every case is individual, the outcome depends on the specific circumstances and is not guaranteed.
